Plastics|SA established a Technical and Scientific Advisory Panel on Marine Debris in South Africa on 16 February 2012. The aim of the panel is to create awareness and undertake research. The panel consists of the plastics industry, marine scientists from universities and aquariums, and environmental organizations. The panel will meet once a year.
