The American Chemistry Council (ACC) is a sponsor of Keep America Beautiful’s America Recycles Day, the only nationally recognized day dedicated to encouraging Americans to recycle. Every year on or around November 15, millions turn out to thousands of local events held throughout the country to celebrate and learn more about their recycling programs. America’s Plastics MakersTM, through ACC, developed a “Go-to-Guide” for recycling plastic film wraps and bags for America Recycles Day. The guide is designed to help recycling program coordinators design and execute community events to educate the public that recycling plastic bags and wraps is as simple as bringing them back to a participating local store. Keep America Beautiful (KAB) makes the guide available to its affiliates on it’s America Recycles Day website.
