The Canadian Plastics Industry Association (CPIA) is promoting and helping sponsor the annual Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup. We are also leading efforts to engage the plastics industry in the shoreline cleanup event.
Every year, tens of thousands of Canadians participate in the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup, which allows people to take action against shoreline litter through clean-ups. These clean-ups are among the largest direct action environmental programs in Canada and represent the third largest cleanup in the world. The data gathered during the clean-ups are reported to the International Coastal Cleanup.
