Plastics|SA helped to make this year’s Cape Argus Pick n Pay Momentum Cycle Tour sustainable by coordinating a clean-up crew of 161 workers during this year’s cycle race, creating awareness of litter and waste management amongst the runners, cyclists and their supporters along the route which runs near the coastline.
The Cape is known for its windy conditions and this contributed to the chances of litter ending up in the sea. Teams kitted in bright yellow T-shirts brandishing the Plastics|SA brand, collected the waste along the route and ensured that the litter was sent to a recycling organization.
