In October of 2017 Acoplásticos partnered with SENA and UAESP to launch a contest to produce a short film (5 to 8 minutes long) that shows the importance of waste separation and recovery in keeping plastic waste from becoming plastic debris in our oceans. SENA provided the media equipment; Acoplásticos covered the production costs of the project and UAESP, the media coverage. The winner was chosen the first week of February 2018 and presented the short film’s final version in March of 2018. It will be broadcast on Bogotá’s public channels.
