Our partners in the environmental community challenged us to address straws, a commonly littered item found during the international coastal cleanup. Working with our member companies and others throughout the value chain we developed a product stewardship position advocating for the responsible use of straws to help decrease plastic straws pollution. The position was announced as part of ongoing efforts to help promote the responsible use of valuable plastic materials and in accordance with our commitment to the Trash Free Seas Alliance® (TFSA). This is just one of many initiatives aimed at reducing marine pollution.
