Guide to Plastic Waste Identification and Separation

The Guide to Plastic Waste Identification and Separation is a tool intended to assist waste pickers and material recovery facilities in the identification of the most common plastic resins used in the Colombian market and the types of products they are converted into. With the help of pictures and symbols, the Guide explains the different types and categories of plastics and their products, the steps of the plastic recycling process and suggests some recommendations for waste pickers and material recovery facilities to follow. The guide was first published in 1999. Acoplásticos will publish a new edition of the Guide in 2018.
