Fundación Sanar is a Colombian NGO which has helped children with cancer for more than 31 years. Healing caps, is an initiative the NGO started 5 years ago, in which they collect plastic caps, sell them and use the money collected to buy medication and pay medical exams for children with cancer who cannot not afford them. The majority of plastic caps have been collected in schools and companies where the initiative also raised recycling awareness and the reuse of waste materials. Acoplásticos contributes with the participation of its affiliate companies and has contributed with logistics for the collection of the bottle caps. The project began in 2013.
