The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) together with Department of Education (DepEd), Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), and the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) lead the implementation of this act in collaboration with government agencies such as: the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), and Philippine Information Agency (PIA) with education networks, civil society and private sectors such as: the Philippine Plastics Industry Association, Inc. This project also aims to guide schools to improve their solid waste management, water conservation, and energy conservation practices; to create more sustainable and eco-friendly schools in the country.
