The Wrap Recycling Action Program (WRAP) is a national public education and outreach initiative aimed at increasing plastic film recycling by doubling the amount of recycled polyethylene (PE) bags, wraps and film to 2 billion lbs. by 2020. It was created by the ACC Flexible Film Recycling Group (FFRG) in partnership with the Sustainable Packaging Coalition and Association of Plastics Recyclers. WRAP brings together a range of stakeholders including government, businesses, industry and non-profit groups through a platform that builds local or regionally based consumer education campaigns throughout the country to increase plastic film recycling. Our common goal: to make plastic film packaging a commonly recycled material with a strong and ever-growing recycling rate.
